The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.
