About this area:
Long Pond is the largest freshwater pond on Mt. Desert Island and serves as the reservoir to the village of Southwest Harbor. Swimming, kayaking, and fishing are popular activities on this lovely lake just west of Somesville. Southwest Harbor's village center is approximately fifteen minutes away, and major park entrances are between ten and twenty minutes' drive.

The cottage was very clean and well appointed. The deck and dock were our 2 favorite spots to hang out and we loved our daily loon visits. The mattresses could use some updating, I would wake up my son every time I tried to get out of bed after getting him to sleep because the mattress was so loud and squeaky! Would love to visit this cabin when blueberries are in season. Had a great time!
