This quaint summer cottage is nestled in the woods, alongside a hill, amongst wonderful shade trees and granite ledges. Intentionally built around the showcase granite (gas) fireplace, one can easily relax indoors on cool summer evenings, and can also soak up the warmth and dramatic views offered outside on the well-furnished deck during a lazy Maine summer day. Centrally located on Mount Desert Island, those hoping for a bit more action will find boating activity right outside their door, and the many trails of Acadia National Park and the picturesque small villages of MDI all within a short drive.

FIRST FLOOR: Open and airy floor plan with hardwood and tiled floors throughout. Kitchen with granite countertops. Living and Dining Area features a gas fireplace and views of Somes Sound through large sliders opening to the Deck. Bedroom with king bed, (gas) wood stove and pretty water views. Bedroom with L-Shaped twin beds. Spacious Bath with large shower. Stacked Washer/Dryer off Kitchen.

SECOND FLOOR: Master Bedroom with King Bed, Sitting Area and small (gas) wood stove. Full Bath with double sinks, large whirlpool bath and separate shower.

AMENITIES: Standard kitchen appliances include microwave and dishwasher. Filtered water system. Washer/Dryer. Satellite Flatscreen TVs. DVD/DVR player. Wireless Internet. Big Green Egg Charcoal Grill.

This cottage is accessed by driving through a campground. To date there have been no complaints or remarks about the campground. The cottage is on a separate deeded parcel on a lower level, and the only impact the campground has is that tenants need to drive through it to get to the cottage.

About this area:

An historic village in the town of Mount Desert, Hall Quarry is minutes from Echo Lake and Long Pond. Many of Acadia National Park's offerings are nearby, such as the trails of Acadia, St. Sauveur, and Beech Mountains. The towns of Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor are all within a ten to fifteen minute drive, and a rich history of the local granite industry has left several picturesque ponds and clearings in the area.
