About this area:

The village of Seal Harbor has many attributes, including proximity to Northeast and Bar Harbor, a lovely hillside overlooking the quiet harbor and a well-protected public beach. The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.

As always, this was a special time for our family. It is the only time we are together for any length of time. The house lends itself to wonderful "together" activities (puzzles, baking) and has a large porch for private reading and pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres. We experienced some chilly nights, and the living room stove warmed the house up nicely.
