THE SEADOG: (Sleeps 2) Newly constructed guest suite attached via breezeway to the Main House. King bed, large armoire, closet, reading chair and baby's crib. Bathroom with large walk in tiled shower. Sliding glass doors to the furnished deck with breathtaking views to the outer islands. Seadog photo coming soon.
THE PERCH: (Sleeps 2 more, not included in rate, but available for additional fee). Located at the end of the driveway and accessible through a wide, groomed path through woods, driveway or by car. Attractive living room with fireplace, kitchenette with stainless sink, refrigerator, a keurig and dish ware. Table that seats two. Bedroom with Queen bed and door to deck. Bathroom with shower only and stackable washer and dryer.
About this area:
Mt. Desert Island's second largest village, Southwest Harbor, features a charming Main Street with an appealing assortment of shops and restaurants. The neighboring village of Manset, which is along the southern shore of the harbor, tends to be rural in nature but features a number of excellent restaurants and boatyards, including Hinckley Yacht Yard and Morris Yachts, both of which boast an international reputation. If Bar Harbor is the 'gateway' to Acadia, Southwest Harbor is the gateway to Acadia's westside trails and attractions, including Seawall, Ship's Harbor, and Echo Lake, all between five and eight minutes from the village center.
