Matthew Levesque

Sales Agent 7 Reviews

Born and raised on Mount Desert Island, Matthew Levesque isn’t just familiar with the area, he’s part of its fabric. A third-generation carpenter from a family of boat builders, fishermen, and craftsmen, he grew up learning the value of hard work, quality, and community. His grandfather Pete Levesque and great-uncle Vic Levesque left a legacy on the island, not just in the things they built, but in the lessons they passed down. Those values continue to shape Matthew’s approach to serving his clients today.

Matthew began his career with The Knowles Company as a Summer Sales Associate after graduating from Mount Desert Island High School. Working at the front desk while training alongside experienced brokers gave him a strong foundation in the business and an early appreciation for the relationships, discretion, and local expertise that define The Knowles Company. Today, as a Sales Agent, he is proud to help buyers and sellers navigate one of Maine’s most distinctive real estate markets.

Before entering real estate, Matthew worked alongside his father, Mike Levesque, building and restoring homes across Mount Desert Island. That experience gave him a trained eye for craftsmanship, construction quality, and the details that make a property truly exceptional. From historic cottages to legacy waterfront estates, he brings an appreciation for the distinctive architecture, thoughtful design, and enduring quality that define many of Mount Desert Island’s most remarkable homes.

Known for his approachable nature, strong work ethic, and clear communication, Matthew is committed to making every transaction as smooth and informed as possible. Whether assisting first-time buyers, longtime island residents, or those searching for a seasonal retreat or waterfront estate, he provides attentive service rooted in local knowledge, integrity, and a genuine appreciation for the unique character of every property.

When he’s not working, you’ll find Matthew golfing, playing soccer, lifting weights, or strumming his guitar. He is proud to continue his family’s tradition of serving the island community and is honored to help clients navigate one of life’s most important decisions.
