Jane joined The Knowles Company in 1999 and spent more than two decades working closely alongside long-time owner and broker Keating Pepper. With more than 25 years of experience in active brokerage, Jane has played a central role in shaping the professionalism, consistency, and client care that define Knowles today.

In December 2024, as Keating Pepper stepped away from ownership and began his transition toward retirement, Jane entered a new chapter of leadership at The Knowles Company. She now serves as Executive Administrative Assistant and Designee, while retaining her broker licensure. In this role, Jane helps oversee the brokerage team and safeguards the integrity, consistency, and quality of every transaction that moves through the office. This leadership position reflects both her extensive experience and her commitment to the highest standards of licensure and professional practice.

Clients visiting the office are often greeted by Jane right when they walk in the door. Known for her welcoming presence at the front desk and unmistakable glasses, she remains a familiar and reassuring face for many longtime clients. While her role has evolved, Jane continues to support clients by thoughtfully referring past customers and new inquiries to brokers on the team. She remains closely involved in an advisory capacity throughout each transaction, ensuring that clients receive the same consistent level of care, judgment, and service they have come to expect over the years.

Originally from Massachusetts, Jane earned her BA in Psychology from Wheaton College. Before entering real estate, she worked in social services with children in crisis, experience that continues to inform her calm, empathetic, and client-centered approach. She lives in Seal Harbor with her husband, Allen, and their dog, Tig.

In addition to her brokerage expertise, Jane is an accomplished photographer and has long used her talents to support real estate marketing through exceptional architectural and nature photography. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and skiing the trails of Acadia National Park and spending time immersed in the natural beauty of Mount Desert Island.
