Keri Hayes

A Connecticut native, Keri landed in Maine a week after graduating from Muhlenberg College and has been proud to call Mount Desert Island home for over 30 years. She resides in Bass Harbor where she is raising two teenagers and her dog, Charlie.

Keri joined the Knowles Company in 2022, after spending 16 years producing conferences across the U.S. and around the world. Prior to that, she worked in publishing, including a stint as the sportswriter for the Bar Harbor Times in the early 1990s. She brings great problem-solving skills and a local’s knowledge of our beautiful island to her new role of finding people the perfect place to spend their vacation.

Keri holds strong ties in her community, serving as the chair of the Tremont School Committee and as a member of the Mount Desert Island High School Trustees. She is a regular elections volunteer in Tremont. Over the years, Keri has enjoyed coaching two generations of local children on recreational league softball, soccer, and basketball teams and as a long-time coach of middle school girls’ softball and soccer.

In her spare time, Keri enjoys hiking and cross-country skiing in Acadia National Park; time on the water whether in a kayak, sailboat or motorboat; photographing her kids’ sporting events; gardening; and traveling.
