Maria Spallino

Maria joined The Knowles Company in 2024 and is excited to bring her love of home design and working with people from all backgrounds to this market. She is adept at seeing opportunity and magic in homes and is a skilled problem solver who is looking forward to helping her clients find their dream properties. Maria was born in Moscow, Russia and grew up in Maryland, earning her BS in Economics, Psychology, and BA in French Language from the University of Maryland. She spent the next 11 years in New York City working for major luxury and heritage brands on the sales, product development, and merchandising side of the business. With the arrival of her two sons, she and her husband decided to move to beautiful MDI to be closer to her parents and immerse their family in the wonders of this unique locale. Maria serves as elected School Board member for the town of Southwest Harbor and the greater AOS 91 school district, Board Member and Secretary of the Mount Desert Nursery School in Northeast Harbor, and is a Committee member for the Ladies Who Loonch fundraiser for Camp Beech Cliff, located in Mount Desert Maine. When she’s not working, she enjoys getting outside, including any chance to ski with her boys in the winter months, immersing herself in home design, and traveling with her family.
