Rob McKee
Broker, Marketing Director facebook instagram pinterestRob grew up on a countryside farm in East Lansing, Michigan, spending summers sailing on Lake Michigan from Holland to Detroit, a journey that marked the end of his carefree childhood. His creative family—his mother a teacher and artist, his father an author—instilled in him a love for nature and the arts. Their historic farm, “Shady Acres,” was a hub for community gatherings.
After a career in corporate management for commercial photography and graphic production, Rob shifted to real estate, moving to Summit, New Jersey, and working as a broker in NYC. Meeting Gin his partner of 36 years, they shared a love for adventure, traveling the country on a Harley before settling down to raise two sons, now working in NYC. They also have two Maine Coon cats, Leo and Lola.
Three years ago, Rob and Gin moved permanently to Bar Harbor, Maine, after vacationing there for years. Rob is now President of the Sunset Lodge Condominium Association and remains active as a Maine Broker and Marketing Director. Gin works remotely as a supply chain manager for Mondelez. Rob continues to pursue his passion for music, playing drums and bass, finding fulfillment in his journey from farm life to city hustle and back to the serene shores of Bar Harbor.
Since joining The Knowles Company, Rob McKee has been an integral part of the brokerage’s marketing and strategic initiatives. In 2025, he is expanding his role to include brokerage, bringing 21 years of residential and commercial real estate experience to the team. After nearly two decades in the NJ and NYC markets, Rob transitioned to Bar Harbor, where he continues to apply his marketing expertise with a client-first approach. While remaining in his role as Marketing Director, he is now also available for real estate representation and consulting in Maine’s evolving market.
