Sliders open to welcome the breeze and access the front furnished, elevated deck. Divided from the living/dining area by a counter with three stools, a gorgeous, all new and high end kitchen area features custom cabinetry, plenty of cookware, dish ware, and equipment to make the preparation of meals a celebration.
To the south of the living area is a short hall that leads to a full bath with shower (behind pocket door), followed by a guest Bedroom with Queen bed. Also in this wing a Primary Bedroom with King bed features sliders that open to a beautifully landscaped terraced sitting area overlooking woods, water, and the mountains. This lovely retreat is perfect for a morning cup of coffee, or an afternoon read away from the rest of the household. Also featured is a private full bath with soaking tub with water view, and stall shower. Note that although our photos don’t show it, the windows in the Primary Bedroom have shades to block the morning sun.
To the north of the living area, floor to ceiling pocket doors close to create a private space for guests. A sitting area with TV, comfortable seating, and sliders to front deck overlooking the water. A second set of doors close this space off from a Bedroom with Queen, allowing guests a little more privacy. Shared full bath with tiled shower.
LOWER LEVEL: Down one flight of stairs one finds a lower level with a bedroom with Queen bed adjacent to a sitting area with chaise and sliding doors that open onto a private deck overlooking the water. Similar to the guest space on the main level, these can be closed off with large pocket doors. Private full bath with tiled shower. Also located on this floor is a fabulous laundry room and a large yoga room with flat screen television and a set of Twin beds that can be pushed together to make a King Bed.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Terraced with granite steps and tastefully landscaped, a combination of private outdoor sitting areas, an outdoor shower and large decks for gathering create great spaces for enjoying the views, the sun, the hush of the wind in the pines, and the call of loons. Swim in Somes Sound’s slightly warmer waters directly from the flat granite rocks in front of the house, or put in a kayak.
NOTE: Around the corner and slightly visible from the house is “The Nub,” the original family camp built by the owners of Coppertop.
