For many generations, family and guests have enjoyed one of the most beautiful waterfront settings available on Mt. Desert Island. No doubt, you will enjoy being here, too. These two relaxed and rustic cabins are situated in a very private, wooded setting on beautiful Squid Cove with immediate access to the water. With these quintessential Maine camps come wonderful opportunities for tidal swimming or watching seals, osprey and bald eagles. Or turn your attention downward to explore the snails, clams, and crabs at low tide. On the deck just outside the main cabin’s door or a few steps further near the shore, you’re sure to also find a great spot to relax in the sun or shade any time of day.

CRANBERRY: This older cabin located near the waters edge offers rustic interiors. A no-fuss Kitchen overlooks a Dining Area with table for eight. Pass through a Bedroom with a Single bed with pull out mattress beneath, to a Bedroom with Queen bed and French doors leading outside. A full Bathroom with combined tub and shower sits between the two bedrooms. The spacious, but cozy Great Room offers a wood stove, Futon sofa bed and a set of Twins at one end allowing it to serve as a third bedroom. A spacious Deck with furnishings enjoys wonderful views of Squid Cove and quick access to the water and the dock. Rustic half bath with exterior entrance off the Great Room.

BUNCHBERRY GUEST CABIN: A log cabin with tongue and groove interiors, this sister cabin sits a few steps further from the water, but enjoys views of the cove through the trees and access to the same shoreline. An open Kitchen and Living space offers a wood stove, a small table for four and two bench sofas. Two Bedrooms, one Queen and one with two Twins, share a full Bathroom with recently updated tiled shower. Depending on your mood or the weather, choose to relax on the deck outside or in the more protective, screened porch with picnic table.

DECK/PORCH: Both cabins offer a deck and the Guest Cabin also enjoys a screened porch. A water’s edge deck is also available, close to the Great Room.

AMENITIES: Sorry no dishwashers, television, or washer and dryer.
