Beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Futon
Hidden in an open meadow with gardens and naturally landscaped areas is this gem of a find! This unique, year-round eighteen sided home with many custom features is a great spot for your Acadia stay. We love the honey-glow of the custom cabinetry, intricate rafter-work in the ceiling and trim, and the cheerful light-filled spaces! With no visible neighbors, you can truly escape from it all, but don’t worry, you are still within a short drive to Acadia National Park entrances and major village centers of Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor, not to mention the vibrant downtown center of Ellsworth with its eateries and shops!
FIRST FLOOR: Several steps lead to the entry with a convenient “drop zone” for coats and shoes. The open-concept living area features a Kitchen that is outfitted with plenty of cookware for meal preparation (note that there is no dishwasher). Be sure to admire the live edge, custom built center island, where there’s a place for everything, and it alone is a masterpiece in craftsmanship! Dining Area with table that seats four to six comfortably. Living/Sitting area with large screen TV. Look up to appreciate the intricate rafters of this circular space! The Primary Bedroom features a King Bed and en suite Full Bath with tiled walk-in shower. A second Bedroom doubles as a separate sitting room or office, and has a fabulous Murphy Bed that opens easily to a very comfortable Queen sized bed for your guests. Adjacent to this Bedroom is a Full Bath with combined tub and shower.
LOWER LEVEL: Although unfinished and very casual in feel, the lower level offers a roomy Laundry area plus an additional seating and “hang-out” area for those who want a little separation. A futon couch is in this area, suitable as a third sleeping space.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Accessed from both the Living Area and the Primary Bedroom, a large deck surrounds the house and overlooks a yard, gardens, meadow, and woods beyond. Don’t be surprised to see plenty of wildlife roaming through this area where deer, turkeys, and the occasional fox are abundant.
