Dodge Point Compound
Seal Harbor, ME 04675-
Beds: 2 Kings, 3 Queens, 2 Singles, 1 Bunk Bed, 1 Trundle
Tucked among towering pines and surrounded by exceptional works of sculpture, this stunning property is a rare find on Mt. Desert Island. With beautiful grounds, gardens, and even a play structure for the kids, this home is a terrific find for those looking to host their family but wish for a little “distance” while in residence. Of significant note is the homeowners exquisite taste in art, thoughtfully curated and displayed throughout the two dwellings.
MAIN HOUSE:

Informal entry from the driveway leads to a laundry area that opens to a well equipped eat-in Kitchen with pretty water views and table that seats six, eight in a pinch. Living Room with vaulted slanted ceiling, curving windows overlooking the water, and plenty of comfortable seating focused around the granite fireplace. From the Living Room, the Primary Bedroom with King Bed and en suite Full Bath with jet tub and handheld shower. From the Bedroom, enter the curving Library which leads to Bedroom with Queen Bed and shared Full Bath with tub and shower across the hall. On the opposite end of the house, adjacent to the Kitchen is a third Bedroom with Trundle Bed and Shared Full Bath with shower stall. This bedroom is suitable for children or single adults. Note that the interior window separating this bedroom from the Kitchen can be shaded for privacy.GUEST HOUSE:
FIRST FLOOR: With a unique barn-style door opening from the gardens, the Guest House features a Living/Dining Room with table that seats four but can expand to seat more. Kitchen with counter seating for three leads to a small Bedroom with Bunkbeds. Adjacent to the Living Room is a Full Bath with shower stall. Just beyond the second entry to the house is a Bedroom with Twin Beds and en suite Full Bath with shower stall.SECOND FLOOR: A bedroom with Queen Bed and Primary Bedroom with King Bed share a Full Bath with combined tub and shower.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Surrounded by mature woods, well-maintained cutting and vegetable gardens, and paths threading throughout the property, the outdoor spaces offer relaxing spots to gather, dine, or retreat. Be sure to check out the kids’ play structure and hot tub offering water views while you relax!
NOTE: Although this home can sleep up to 14 people, and the Living Room in the Main House can accommodate that many for gathering, there is no dining space big enough to accommodate everyone for a single meal, unless one chooses to eat outside on “laps.”

The village of Seal Harbor has many attributes, including proximity to Northeast and Bar Harbor, a lovely hillside overlooking the quiet harbor and a well-protected public beach. The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.
