Poised on the Shores of Union River Bay with westerly views to Newbury Neck and Blue Hill, this adorable camp is loaded with charm and offers one of the nicest gravel and shale beaches we have seen! Stroll to the shore for daytime swims, kayaking, or beach combing, or cozy up around the firepit to enjoy some of the best star gazing imaginable. Acadia National Park entrances are about 20-25 minutes away, as are the primary villages of Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor and popular Bar Harbor on Mt. Desert Island. This is a quiet and peaceful spot that is sure to please!
FIRST FLOOR: Enter from the main deck into an open concept Living Dining and Kitchen area with walls of windows for views, updated appliances, and propane fired woodstove to take off the chill on a cool evening. Table seats three to four for dining, with an additional table with leaves that can be opened to seat more if needed. All before picture windows revealing the expansive water views. Note that there is no TV, but newly installed Internet accommodates streaming on your preferred device. Just beyond the Living area is a Bedroom with Trundle Bed, which make for a slightly tight space for adults when open, but is perfectly suitable for kids. Shared Full Bath with walk-in shower.
SECOND FLOOR: Partially lofted to below, Bedroom with single bed and a door to a second floor balcony overlooking the water. Full Bath with walk-in shower and Laundry. Primary Bedroom with Queen Bed (the double bed picture here will be replaced in time for the 2025 season) and water views.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Furnished deck across the front and sides of the house overlooks the meadow and shore and offers a wonderfully peaceful space to gather for meals, read a book, or soak up the views and sunsets. Natural fields, lawns and some plantings surround the house with a level gravel path leading to the shore. The wide shoreline is a mix of granite ledge and course sand and pebbles with a gradual decline to the water, making it safe for play or launching a kayak.

Known as the ‘Gateway to Acadia,’ Trenton and Lamoine enjoy mainland proximity to Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, with access to the expansive Union River Bay and Mt. Desert Narrows. Home to several local lobster pounds and close to Ellsworth dining, many homes in this area enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Desert’s peaks, and swimming is generally warmer in the bay waters. Lamoine’s public sandy beach, Trenton Community Trails, Wild Acadia Fun Park, and the Stanwood Bird Sanctuary are just a few of its attractions!
