FIRST FLOOR: From the circular drive, enter to a large Entry Hall with grand staircase. Just beyond the hall is a large Living Room with fireplace and stunning views across the sweeping lawn to the water beyond. To the right of the front entry, a modest den features cozy seating and wide screen TV. Step through the door to a large sunporch with three walls of windows overlooking the water. On warmer days, the windows open to create the effect of a screened in porch. At the other end of the house, a large Dining Room, also with sweeping views, features a table that seats eight to ten (more in a pinch), fireplace, and a grand piano. From the Dining Room, pass through a well-equipped Butler’s Pantry with sink to reach a large eat-in Kitchen with large windows with water views and a circular table that easily seats six. An additional pantry beyond the kitchen provides plenty of extra storage. Also beyond the Kitchen is a large “bonus” all-purpose room with laundry facilities and storage. This space can also double as a play area for rainy days. A Half Bath and large closet is also found on the first floor.
SECOND FLOOR: Extending off a long hallway that runs north and south from the main staircase are eight Bedrooms. Beginning at the south end of the hall, Bedroom 1 features a Queen Bed and door to balcony overlooking the water. Bedroom 2 features Twin Beds. These two Bedrooms share a Full Bath with tub and shower. A door from Bedroom 1 connects to Bedroom 3, considered the Primary Bedroom, with Queen Bed and en suite Full Bath with shower stall. In the north end of the hall, Bedroom 4 features Twin Beds, Bedroom 5 offers a Queen Bed and water views, and Bedroom 6 features a Double Bed with water views. These three bedrooms share a Full Bath with shower stall. Bedroom 7 features a Single Bed and water views and has access to another Full Bath with Tub only. Bedroom 8, the most private, offers a Queen Bed and en suite Full Bath with shower stall. At this end of the hall is a back staircase leading to the Kitchen area.
LOWER LEVEL: Off the Kitchen area stairs lead to a large basement area that serves as a rainy day retreat with ping pong table and pool table.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Expansive lawns surround the house with a trail leading to a gradual, accessible shorefront area, suitable for launching a kayak or a quick dip for those brave enough! Note that it is not possible to watch young children by the shore from the house. Beyond the lawns are wooded areas screening you from neighboring properties.
