About this area
The village of Seal Harbor has many attributes, including proximity to Northeast and Bar Harbor, a lovely hillside overlooking the quiet harbor and a well-protected public beach. The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.

We fell in love with Acadia and Seal Harbor. I can’t imagine staying in a modern house as the historic charm of this house really won us over to detach and relax. From the beautiful deck to sit and look at the harbor to more than ample space inside, we didn’t want to leave! Would highly recommend. The Knowles Company was also very responsive to all of our inquiries.
It felt so good to come back to this house after eight years. It was just as we remembered it. Even the kids who are now teenagers were excited to come back here.
