Relax in this adorable guest cottage with pretty views across the entrance to Somes Sound to the outer islands and mountains of Acadia National Park beyond. With access to a sweet, shared but private sandy beach overlooking Greening Island, is perfect for sun bathing, swimming, or watching the boating in the great harbor. Southwest Harbor’s village center, Beal’s Lobster Pound, and the Island Explorer free shuttle bus stop are all within easy reach! An electric wall heater and electric baseboard heat make this home comfortable for the off-season. Fans and the ocean breezes keep it cool in the summer.

FIRST FLOOR: Entry to the front deck with sliding doors that open into the Living Room with comfortable seeing. Dining Table for four to five people, plus galley-style Kitchen with counter seating for four. Bedroom with Queen Bed and water views and shared, updated Full Bath with combined tub and shower. A back door leads to a small deck and Laundry shed with full sized washer dryer (not pictured, but available if requested).

SECOND FLOOR: Narrow, carpeted staircase leads to a lofted bedroom with water and mountain views, three single beds, and Full Bath with shower stall.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Roomy front deck with dining table and chairs for outdoor dining overlooking the lawn, shore, and mountains beyond. A grassy path leads to a sweet, sandy beach that provides easy access to the water. Note: any boats pictured online are not included with this rental. Although surrounded by a large grassy lawn, note that outdoor spaces are occasionally shared with the homeowner’s larger home in front and to the right of this home.
