An historic village in the town of Mount Desert, Hall Quarry is minutes from Echo Lake and Long Pond. Many of Acadia National Park’s offerings are nearby, such as the trails of Acadia, St. Sauveur, and Beech Mountains. The towns of Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor are all within a ten to fifteen minute drive, and a rich history of the local granite industry has left several picturesque ponds and clearings in the area.

Second time at Pine Ledge. Gorgeous views from the lovely deck and convenient to all of MDI.
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Pine Ledge cottage. We felt at home immediately and especially enjoyed the peace and quiet, and breakfasts and dinners on the deck with lovely view of mountains and the sound. Kitchen is practical for preparing meals. The Hall Quarry location is conveniently located close to park and many other things MDI has to offer.
Our two week stay at Pine Ledge was delightful. The house was comfortable and well equipped and the views off the deck were gorgeous. We loved the location and as long time MDI visitors would stay there again without hesitation. The owner was a great host—immediately responsive if any help was needed.
We have been visiting MDI and Acadia since 1990, 30 years and have never had a more delightful stay. The cottage could not have been any cleaner or more equipped. Also my experience with Knowles was similarly a joy considering we booked at the last minute the transaction was seamless.
