Bar Harbor’s village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park’s Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as ‘Bar Harbor’ are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes’ drive to the village center.

This was an absolutely fantastic house. Impeccably clean, comfortable, and serene. More than ample space for two couples and two single adults. Kitchen has every pot, pan, utensil and dish you could ever ask for. Conveniently located to all that Acadia has to offer. We would stay again in a heartbeat, and probably will.
Had a wonderful two-week stay in June at Pine Ridge. This was our second summer renting the home, and we loved it just as much as we did the previous year. Incredibly well cared for, nicely stocked kitchen, and tons of games, DVDs, and books. The location is outstanding for everything you’d want to do on MDI. The owner is fantastic. We hope to return again soon.
Pine Ridge is a lovely home with beautiful views of the woods and Cadillac Mountain. It was quiet and secluded, and only a short drive to Acadia National Park and the restaurants and shops of Bar Harbor. The house was just the right size for our family of seven adults, with a spacious first floor area that included the living room, dining area and kitchen. The house was very clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were very comfortable and a nice size, and we enjoyed spending a lot of time out on the beautiful deck. We would definitely recommend Pine Ridge!
Outstanding property with full view of Cadillac Mountain from deck. Close to Bar Harbor and all attractions, yet a country/private setting. House is setup well for families, roomy, and exceptionally clean. Owner and management company very attentive. Would definitely look to rent again on our next trip to Bar Harbor.
We stayed here for two weeks and loved the house and property! The house had a great open plan perfect for a family get together. It was 10-15 min drive from almost everything you need and the view of Cadillac is spectacular from the living room. The owner was friendly and responsive to our questions. Highly recommend!
