Bar Harbor’s village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park’s Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as ‘Bar Harbor’ are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes’ drive to the village center.
Our stay at Pine Street Retreat was wonderful. It was clean, the kitchen was nicely stocked, it was very bright and cheery. The proximity to downtown Bar Harbor was great, within walking distance. The proximity to the various park entrances was very convenient.
We would definitely recommend this property!!
Everything about this rental was terrific! Knowles was responsive and helpful, and the house is lovely, clean, and so well-equipped. Despite the rainy week, we had a wonderful time. The location was perfect — an easy walk to town/shopping, and close access to Acadia trails. Highly recommend.
We were here for a week in early August. This updated house is very clean, spacious, and well equipped. The house is on a quiet side street, and we found the location perfect for trips into town, food shopping, and easy access to Acadia and other attractions. The Knowles Company was great to work with. We highly recommend this property.
We stayed for a week and loved it. There is ample/easy parking, a place to cookout, a sparkly clean. Highly recommended!
Our family of 5 stayed at 5 Pine Street in late July. The house is amazing. Everything was very clean and we could tell that the place was recently renovated. We ate out on the deck under the stars. Mornings in the kitchen were cool with the breeze coming in through the screen doors. We read at night in the screened in porch listening to the wind through the trees. The walk to town and to bike rentals is only about 10 minutes and it gave our teenagers some freedom to explore Bar Harbor. I couldn’t recommend this place more and we would love to come back!
