Not to be confused with the popular Bar Harbor mini-golf attraction, Pirate’s Cove offers a delightful retreat far from crowds and mayhem. Situated on its own private point and surrounded on three sides with water, this custom built home and optional vintage Guest House create a nostalgic spot for your Mt. Desert stay. Village centers are roughly 15 to 25 minutes away, and major park entrances are approximately 20-35 minutes’ drive.

FIRST FLOOR: From the main entry, to the left is a Laundry Room and Half Bath. Continue into the spacious, combined Kitchen and den with picture window and water views. Kitchen features counter seating four. den enjoys comfy and casual seating, large screened TV and sliding doors to side deck. To the right from the Kitchen, a large more formal Living/Dining Room features a dining table that seats six, great reading, puzzling, and conversation spaces, and a wonderful stone fireplace. Step through sliding doors to access the furnished front deck overlooking the front lawn and water beyond. Just beyond the Living Area, a hall leads to three bedrooms. The Primary Bedroom with Queen bed enjoys water views, a private sitting/desk area, door to front deck, and en suite Full Bathroom with combined tub and shower. Note the lovely custom tiling and unique sink bowl! On the other side of the hall are two Bedrooms, each with a set of Twin Beds. These bedrooms share a Full Bath with combined tub and shower.

GUEST HOUSE: Included with the rental rate, the detached Guest House offers a rustic retreat for additional family members, or simply a second living space for guests. Featuring a galley-style Kitchen (sorry – no dishwasher!), large Living Room with door to front deck, water views, and massive stone fireplace, complete with overhanging moose head, and plenty of seating. Bedroom with Queen platform bed. Full Bath with combined tub and shower. A small Bedroom with built-in bunk beds may be available and is suitable for young children. Note that although the Guest House can sleep four, and the Main House can sleep six, a maximum occupancy is strictly held to eight people when renting both buildings.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Furnished deck across the front of the Main House with picnic table for outdoor dining. Small grassy, sloped lawn in front is safe for play. House is surrounded by 28 acres of private woods and three sides by water, this property enjoys varying shorelines of bold granite, sandy shale, and shallow flats. Private dock is perfect for launching a kayak, tying up a small outboard, swimming, or simply enjoying stunning sunsets each night with your favorite beverage.
