This exceptional property is situated off historic and picturesque Sargeant Drive, near the village of Northeast Harbor. Completely surrounded by woods and water, it consists of a spacious main house and a semi-attached guest cabin with water views. Enjoy views down Somes Sound and many of Acadia’s picturesque mountains from the comfort of the living room with its warming fireplace, or settle outside with a book in hand, taking in the boating activity and wildlife that’s sure to pass by.
FIRST FLOOR: Step into the cottage’s light-filled and open Living/Kitchen and Dining areas off the side entry. The granite-clad Kitchen features high-end appliances and a central island, all with a focus toward entertaining. The Dining Area comfortably seats 8, and flows seamlessly to the Living Area, set very specifically to take advantage of the views. Comfortable and inviting furnishings combine with thoughtful artwork to make this a pleasant spot. An expanse of windows is set next to the fireplace with granite surround, whilst sliding doors from several vantage points allow easy access to the outside decks and paths to the water’s edge.
Primary Bedroom with Olympic Queen bed and en suite Full Bath with shower only, also has water views and sliders to the outdoors. Just outside the Primary suite is a small bedroom with two Twin beds and a Half Bath across the hall.
From the open kitchen and side entry, pass through a Laundry room with extra fridge to a wing containing two Bedrooms and two full Bathrooms. The Queen bedded room offers a private Bath with tub and shower. The King bedded room (two Twins pushed together which can be separated with advance notice) has a private Bath with shower only. In addition, the King bedroom has slider doors with water views of Somes Sound and a love seat that converts to a single bed, suitable for a small child. Each bedroom has its own delightful view of the water.
GUEST CABIN: This semi-attached guest cabin serves as a wonderful refuge for parents, grandparents, or a couple with a small child. A Queen bed with views of the Sound, its own Full Bath with shower, a small sitting area with desk and a convertible love seat to a single bed for an additional person.
EXTRAS: Two kayaks are included with rental. Somes Sound makes an ideal place for boating activities with mostly smooth waters. Also enjoy a regulation horseshoe court next to the parking area on the property. There is a bocce court on the stone dust shore path and a large tent platform on the northwest side of the house.
Note: From this property there is easy access to Acadia National Park. The Parkman Mountain and Giant Slide Trails are less than 1/2 mile away, and Acadia Mountain is just across the Sound.

Northeast Harbor has the advantage of being quite close to Acadia National Park’s Stanley Brook entrance, not to mention the appeal of the grand, historic summer cottage estates, some of which date to the turn of the century. Northeast Harbor offers high end shopping plus some dining opportunities and boasts an active library, community center, public tennis courts and golf course, and a premier marina.
