Built at the beginning of the 20th century as part of an Adirondack style compound, this cottage’s interior was renovated in the Modernist style during the 1960s for a trustee of the Museum of Modern Art. Use of local wood and stone make this cottage feel like an extension of the landscape. The ocean side of the cottage has been opened up with large windows which look past blueberry bushes and tall spruce trees out to the Bear Island Light and all of the Great Harbor. Use of deep water dock with permission, and daytime use of indoor pool is included.
