Sea Salt Cottage
Seal Harbor, ME 04675-
Beds: 1 Queen, 6 Singles
Poised above charming Main Street in quiet Seal Harbor, this lovely, recently redecorated home offers easy access to Seal Harbor’s public sandy beach, private clubs, and Acadia National Park’s Stanley Brook entrance, all within easy walking distance. Want to head to Bar Harbor but dread having to park? Hop the Island Explorer, which has a stop just a stone’s throw away, and explore Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor village centers, not to mention park trails, all from your front door!
FIRST FLOOR: Stairs from the driveway lead to the front Entry and comfortable Living Area with fireplace. Living Room opens to a formal Dining Room with table that seats six to eight. To the right of the Dining Room is a cozy TV Room/Den. To the left, a spacious updated Kitchen with center island and table that seats four to six is well-equipped to handle meals for two or meals for the crowd. Just beyond the Kitchen is a utility room where the laundry area can be found.
SECOND FLOOR: From the Living Room, stairs lead to three Bedrooms. The Primary Bedroom features a Queen Bed with en suite Full Bath. We can’t say enough about how cool this spa bath is – from the walk-in glass and tile shower to the soaking tub, to the egg shaped commode, it’s truly luxurious! On either side of the Primary Bedroom are two Bedrooms, each with a set of Twin Beds. These two Bedrooms (and the bedroom on the third floor) share a Full Bath with combined tub and shower.
THIRD FLOOR: Bedroom with Twin Beds and window air conditioning unit, small Office Area (not pictured).
OUTDOOR SPACES: Furnished covered front porch overlooks Main Street. Yes, you’re likely to experience some road noise from here, but the traffic slows considerably in the evening time, and this makes for a cool and comfortable spot for your favorite evening beverage. Sloped yard and surrounding woods are relatively safe for play, but not recommended for very young children due to the drop off at the foot of the yard where a low granite wall runs along the sidewalk. Off-street parking sufficient for two cars, three cars in a pinch.

The village of Seal Harbor has many attributes, including proximity to Northeast and Bar Harbor, a lovely hillside overlooking the quiet harbor and a well-protected public beach. The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.
