Beds: 2 Queens, 1 Double, 1 Trundle
Situated on a quiet neighborhood street in sweet Seal Harbor, this home with detached Guest Cottage enjoys proximity to both Seal Harbor’s village sandy beach and the Stanley Brook entrance to Acadia National Park. Walk or hop on your bike, and be on the Park Loop Rd or carriage trails within minutes! Comfortable for two, cozy for four, and workable for six with the option to add on a third sleeping space in the Guest Cottage behind the house.
FIRST FLOOR: Walk into the Living Room with propane fired “wood” stove for off-season use, large TV and seating for up to six people. Just beyond is a small dining area with table that seats up to six. Kitchen overlooking the small deck and nicely landscaped, fenced in back yard.
SECOND FLOOR: Tucked under the eaves, a Primary Bedroom with Queen and a smaller Bedroom with Double Trundle bed (bottom twin bed rolls out from under its mate). This room is more suited for one or two children or a single adult. Bedrooms share a Full Bath with combined tub and shower. Please note that neither bedroom has a bedroom door, but are visually separated. A privacy screen is anticipated to separate the two spaces.
GUEST COTTAGE: Available for an additional fee to sleep up to two extra people, the Guest Cottage is accessed from the back deck and features a Queen Bed.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Attractive wrap-around deck with furnishings. Wood burning fire pit (wood provided), propane grill in the back yard. For those traveling with their dog, there is an excellent secure dog run next to the Guest House, complete with small dog house!
NOTE: Laundry is located in the basement, accessed by exterior stairs through a bulkhead door or interior trapped door. With its low hanging floor joists, the basement is 5′ high under the joists, so while doing the laundry is a little cramped, it is do-able!
Our stay was fantastic. It was everything needed for our hiking needs for Acadia National Park. Only minutes from the Park, and the harbor. Both are walkable. The Lighthouse Inn is also walkable for dinner. The home was perfect for our dogs, and has a well equipped kitchen for cooking most nights in. We typically worked in the morning, hiked, had a beer or two and ate dinner at the house. We really enjoyed our stay here & would come back!
