Relax and enjoy the boating activity from the spacious deck or meander to the shores at low tide to explore the tidal pools. Lover of sunsets? They can’t be beat looking across Somes Sound!
MAIN HOUSE (5 bedrooms for a maximum occupancy of 10):
FIRST FLOOR: A large front entry greets you upon arrival. Spacious Living Room with a table for games or dining and Satellite TV enjoys a wonderful fireplace and large windows to take in the view. Kitchen with dining for 10 to 12, custom built cabinets and high-end appliances. In the south wing, a Bedroom with Twin beds, deck access and water views. A second Bedroom with Twins offers water views and sliding glass doors to the deck. These two bedrooms share a hallway Bathroom with combined tub and shower. In the north wing you’ll find the “Think Room” with a desk, two sofas and lovely water views. NOTE: As pictured, there is a queen-sized bed in this room, but it is not considered a 6th bedroom. Full Bath with combined tub and shower. Two additional Bedrooms, each with a set of Twins. Walk-through Laundry area leads to Full Bath with shower stall only.
SECOND FLOOR: Bedroom with balcony and water views offers a set of Twins. Private Full Bath with large shower stall features two shower heads, no tub.
Amenities: Heat Pump/A/C in all bedrooms and main living area of main house.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Large deck with furnishings enjoys incredible views of Somes Sound and the western Mountains of Acadia. Outside shower.
GUEST COTTAGE (available for an additional fee to sleep 6 additional guests in 3 bedrooms):
For parties of up to 16, the adorable guest cottage can be added to make a total of 8 bedrooms. It offers a separate and fully furnished house with its own Kitchen (apartment size refrigerator) and Living spaces. The nearby garage outside the front door does offer a full sized refrigerator if needed as well as laundry facilities. Two first floor Bedrooms offer two Twin beds and two sets of Twin bunk beds. A second floor Bedroom offers a Queen bed. Two full Bathrooms with combined tubs and showers. And an outdoor shower to boot! No A/C in Guest House.
EXTRAS: One canoe, four kayaks and four paddleboards.
Note that a property caretaker lives nearby in a neighboring cottage.
10 very good friends, who’ve been traveling together for over a dozen years, thoroughly enjoyed SCP. Perfect location for accessing Acadia, Bar Harbor, Floral Gardens. And after a day of fun, sitting out on the deck over the Sound watching beautiful sunsets made for a perfect vacation. The house and cottage were most accommodating with everything needed to relax and unwind.
Our every expectation was exceeded with this home. Incredible views, central MDI location, plenty of little touches that make this not just your typical rental home. Our family could not have been more pleased with our time at Small Cove Point!
Not sure you can find a better rental for the price and location in all of Acadia. I love this place.
Pictures of Small Cove Point listed online were beautiful, but upon arrival at the house I was blown away by how incredible the property really is. My favorite part was sitting on the deck in the morning and watching the tide come in.
The kitchen is perfect for cooking, which we did a lot of. Having the guest cottage for overflow guests was a huge selling point as well.
We brought together all six children, some of them with families. We don’t get to do this often, so we treasured every day. The house was the perfect place for us to be together. The water views are magnificent!
