OUTDOOR SPACES: Large deck with propane grill, outdoor seating and dining space for outdoor meals overlooks the surrounding woods. Great for the bird enthusiast!

We had a great stay! Really enjoyed the neutral decor and fun art, great kitchen, quiet setting. As someone with allergies I appreciated all the hardwood (no sneezing for me!!!). The kitchen was well stocked and we had a wonderful week!!

Somesville was the first village settled on Mount Desert Island in 1761 and is now a National Historic District. Walking or driving through the village is like stepping back in time, with sights of beautifully preserved examples of early New England architecture and a charming mill pond.
