The village of Seal Harbor has many attributes, including proximity to Northeast and Bar Harbor, a lovely hillside overlooking the quiet harbor and a well-protected public beach. The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.
We have been coming to the Conies regularly for several years and it is perfect for our family. The location is so peaceful and we enjoy sitting on the porch listening to birds every day. Knowles is very easy to work with–highly recommend!
So peaceful. So quiet. So beautiful. Lynn and her partners at the Knowles company were awesome! Would have liked better internet connection, but that’s a minor thing. Will try to come back every year if possible.

As always, this was a special time for our family. It is the only time we are together for any length of time. The house lends itself to wonderful “together” activities (puzzles, baking) and has a large porch for private reading and pre-dinner hors d’oeuvres. We experienced some chilly nights, and the living room stove warmed the house up nicely.
