Bar Harbor’s village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park’s Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as ‘Bar Harbor’ are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes’ drive to the village center.
I’ve stayed in The Parsonage before, and this visit was also exceedingly comfortable! The home is a lovely retreat on a quiet street but still very close and walkable to everything in the village and the waterfront. The house was well stocked and everything was comfortable. The kitchen in particular had anything and everything you might need! We would highly recommend The Parsonage.
The Parsonage house was a great fit for our family. It was comfortable and spacious enough for our family of seven adults, and the cozy dining and living areas brought us together for memorable meals, game nights and people watching from our front porch. The beds were comfy and energized us for our days hiking and biking the trails in Acadia. The location couldn’t be better. We loved this house.
Could not have asked for better experience. Fabulous house, excellent location. Can walk to everything, food, boat, bike rentals, bars, etc. Owner supplied everything you might want, grill, jacuzzi, complete kitchen, comfortable furniture, garage, etc, etc. Much more than I had expected! – Robert M.
I rented this house for my family to spend a week in and around Acadia. It’s perfect. Great walkable location to a playground and downtown Bar Harbor and a grocery, kid friendly dishes and cups, a pack n play and other thoughtful touches that make it really welcoming to fams with young kids. Highly recommend!
We loved this home and came back again this year. Everything was perfect and a beautiful way to spend a vacation with family and friends.
