With its unique location, The Wedge wrap-around porch provides spectacular views, capturing all the activities in Gilpatrick Cove, at the Fleet and beyond. Featured in “Maine Cottages” by John M. Bryan, The Wedge was originally designed as a summer cottage by noted architect Fred L. Savage in 1885, as part of the Rock End Hotel built by Herman L. Savage between 1883 and 1884. Today, in addition to the Wedge, this property also includes a smaller cottage, The Shim, which is perfect for accommodating extra guests.
