Seal Cove is located on the western side of Mount Desert Island in the Town of Tremont. Adjacent to Acadia National Park’s western borders, its tranquil setting boasts easy access to hiking trails, freshwater swimming at both Seal Cove Pond and Hodgdon Pond, and the spectacular rocky Maine coastline. Although rural in nature, Seal Cove is close to Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor’s excellent restaurants, summer stock theatre, and other cultural outlets. The Seal Cove Auto Museum makes for a wonderful rainy day outing!

We had a great time at Vince Cottage. This was our first time staying on the west side of the island which took some getting used to but it was lovely. We canoed to some trail heads which was new for us. The cabin is clean and the wood stove was cozy. Hopefully we will be back next year. Thank you!
My wife, two young children and pooch were traveling around Mt Desert Island and Vince Cottage was the perfect cabin for us. The lake is so serene and quiet, it felt like our own private waterfront property. My kids absolutely loved fishing off the dock and taking out the paddleboat and canoe. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay at Vince Cottage. The cottage is a quiet location with a beautiful view of the pond from the master bedroom, living room, screened in porch and deck. We were there for Memorial Day Weekend, it was cool at the beginning of the week, but the cottage warmed up quickly and has a wood stove in addition to baseboard electric heat. The cottage had everything we needed. We weren’t sure if it was going to have a single cup brew option for our morning coffee but they had both, the option for a pot or single cup, so bring your coffee pods or ground coffee. They also have an espresso machine. We would definitely stay here again, it was clean and neat and very relaxing.
