Bar Harbor’s village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park’s Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as ‘Bar Harbor’ are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes’ drive to the village center.

This stay was absolutely beautiful!!! It looked EXACTLY like the photos, maybe even better! It’s right on the water with a gorgeous view. If you like swimming in your own front yard and sitting up in bed to a stunning landscape, this is the stay for you. We spent our time relaxing in one of the most comfortable beds I’ve had at any hotel/airbnb, swimming in the water right off the dock, and watching wildlife right from the porch. The area is a large property with multiple stays, and while we passed our neighbors a few times we still had tons of privacy. This would be the perfect location for large groups wanting to rent the entire property/multiple stays on the property. We will hopefully be back in the future with the whole family!
We had people of all ages in our family stay and these cottages couldn’t have been any better for a family trip! They had everything we needed plus the most beautiful shoreline and just 5-15 mins to restaurants, Bar Harbor and Acadia. Each cottage was comfortable and well equipped with plenty of parking. We would absolutely stay there again!
