Jamie O'Keefe
Jamie has worked in real estate since 2005 and joined The Knowles Company as a broker in 2010, specializing in waterfront and island properties. He earned a BA in Communications and had a successful 10-year career in journalism and public relations before entering the real estate profession.
He loves meeting new clients and is as comfortable handling the sale of oceanfront estates as he is helping first-time buyers navigate the market and find the right property. Recent notable transactions include the sale of the iconic Keeper’s House on Isle au Haut, and several of Jamie’s listings have been feature stories in Soundings Magazine, Yankee, and The Week.
Jamie moved from Connecticut to coastal Maine in 2003 and feels fortunate to live and work in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. He is an avid animal-lover and serves on the Board of the SPCA of Hancock County. He co-chairs the organization's benefit Fur Ball gala, held each summer in Bar Harbor. Jamie is also active with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity and has served as president of the Hancock-Washington Board of Realtors. In his spare time, Jamie enjoys running, snowboarding, surfing, and working on his vintage Porsche 911.
